The CEO of Our Client holds an important leadership role within the their group of companies.  In this capacity you will have oversight of several key critical areas of the entire organization.  Working to support and help the heads of each of the company’s eight business units to grow their individual companies, you will ensure that our client provides the shared resources the business units require in a timely and affordable manner.  Assisting you in this effort will be a support team of accounting, marketing, and human resource staff.

The CEO is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the group of companies’ cash flow while ensuring the organization is in compliance in all financial and legal areas.  You will deliver the proper strategic direction as well as create a vision for success for the management services organization. Our client is a non-union construction firm operating out of West St. Paul, Minnesota, providing skilled construction labor in the areas of light demolition, wood frame carpentry, interior and exterior finish carpentry, paint, and drywall to remodeling, custom home building, and small-sized commercial contractors.  Assistant Controller

The Assistant Controller is an important member of the Accounting and Finance department of the organization, whose primary responsibility is to assist with all regular accounting functions and special projects.  The Assistant Controller reports directly to the Corporate Controller.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end close process including bank, credit card and other account reconciliations.
  • Prepare regular or requested financial related reports.
  • Reconcile unit level cash and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Perform accounting entries timely, accurately and comply with proper accounting standards.
  • Look for and provide solutions for discrepancies or accounting inaccuracies.
  • Operate software programs for accounts receivable.
  • Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements according to established procedures.
  • Assist in any initiatives for receivables collections.
  • Ensure that all accounting activities meet the highest standards of accuracy, integrity, and compliance with company policies.
  • Corporate accounts receivable for specific operations to include invoicing, monitoring, and recording payments, working with clients, A/R Aging accuracy, and monthly cash reconciliations (supplement to our primary accounts receivable position).
  • Prepare bank deposits and assist with credit card payments transactions (supplement to our primary accounts receivable position).


  • 2-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, 4-year preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working in accounting and/or finance
  • Microsoft Excel skills
